Three day Labor Key weekend promises great fishing in Key West.

Come one come all its the end of summer clearance weekend fishing opportunity. There is a system in the Gulf producing  lots of rain north of us but Key West is sitting pretty through the weekend. Winds should be about 10 – 12 and occasional gusts around scattered thunderstorms.. But hey, its the tropics. Just be careful if you see some lightning.

Coming to Key West during this busy holiday weekend it is important to get your fishing guide all booked up. Many Key West fishing guides are not even here. So that leaves fewer of them to chose from.

Backcountry it is slam season for bonefish, tarpon and permit. Fly or light tackle spin fishing gear will show you an incredible day of fine sport fishing here in Key West.

Not into the hard core nature of flats fishing? thats fine too. We also have been bending rods on Lady fish, jacks and Blue fish just to name a few. Dozens of fish to make the day fun. Then,, maybe a big bull shark. Nothing like a huge toothy beast to get the flood flowing.

What To Do With The Family Labor day is for families and fun. We do all that on our family fun fishing trips. Lately our trips have been doing very well on snappers, barracudas and sharks. We have a boat that has lots of shade, 28 ft and a bathroom. Half days start at 475.00 for a labor day special for 4 persons.. Fun times great day on the water. Thats 50.00 off regular price..

Offshore things are a bit slow. The dolphin bite has been reduced to smaller fish and the occasional gaffer unless you go WAY out, then things change.. Nice size fish have been reported on our full day trips and plenty of them.

Reef fishing in September is absolutely fun. Yellowtail snapper, groupers, jacks, fun boat ride and crystal clear water is the way to go here for a fun time. Our 32ft boat the INTENSE is a Yellowfin Center console and ready to battle it out this weekend with you on the reef to have some fun. All in all it looks like Saturday and Sunday are the days to play. Rain on Monday and Tuesday.
