Permit fishing Key West

Mike here fishing with me on Saturday with a nice Key West Permit. He was fishing on my All In Wonder Fishing Charter.

The weather the last few days has been this side of heaven. March is typically a very windy month for us but this week not so much. Flat calm conditions with clear sunny days have been the staple.

Tarpon Fishing
We have been into it hard every day. The bite has been inconsistent but there are plenty of fish around. Some days we crush em some days we don’t. March can be finicky. But I have to say, we are not used to having a March without 25 mph winds out of the East, so I think we are making seasonal adjustments.

For the coming weeks tarpon fishing will get more consistent. Next few days we have some weather then the computer models have it straightening out again for unreal conditions.

The All In Wonder Fishing Charter
I have been running many of my signature All in Wonder fishing charters her at Dream Catchers. This is where we do a little of everything from my Yellowfin Bay boat powered by Mercury Marine. We have been into the tarpon pretty good in fact yesterday you would have thought it was May with the fish laid up all over the flats and being all surface like. We jumped some on Hogy Lures and had a blast.. From the tarpon fishing we get on out to the Marquesas Keys for some shallow reef and wreck fishing. There we are into the mutton snapper, barracudas and permit. Lately I have been able to get out to the reef and we have had some awesome Yellowtail snapper, mackerel and bonito all on artificial and very fun.

To book with us for the last of March is tough. We have some availability but its tight. Tarpon fishing is the bell of the ball and we are into it every day so our guys and I are in the loop and ready to go with fresh live bait, artificial and fly.
