Capt. Nick (Holywood) of Dream Catcher Charters and his angler with a nice Key West Christmas Tarpon.

January 12 2016 – Winter is typically where we get a break from Tarpon fishing here in Key West. Not the case this winter as we had tarpon here and ready to eat all the way through December and into January.

As the weather has corrected itself and gotten cooler our present of Christmas tarpon was used up and gone away like Christmas chocolates. But boy was it fun – Thanks Santa. We flat wore out the tarpon like it was mid May with fish on the flats, in the channels and all throughout the backcountry fishing of Key West.

Tarpon fishing report as of this week is not very good. Cold fronts have taken over and the fish have all said goodbye – For now. There are many variables that can bring them back. I will keep you posted..

That said – We still have availability in our schedule here at Dream Catcher Charters for tarpon fishing Key West 2016. Give us a call and we will show you a great day on the water.

Its never to early to book a tarpon fishing charter
