Hit or Miss Tarpon Bite

Tarpon Jumping Tarpon Time IN January

March 12th 2016 – Windy conditions last week made for a hit or miss tarpon fishing bite out of Key West.

Blustery was the word for many of the days last week here in Key West. We were still in it and on the waters every day making it happen and trying for that early season tarpon lottery draw. Many of our anglers were able to compound on it by hitting a good bite on certain tides with some pretty stellar results on some nice big tarpon.

The forecast shows next week to be a great example of great Key West weather in March with lighter winds and warmer temps all the way through next weekend where we will have our next and possibly our last cold front of the winter. the conditions look favorable for the tarpon bite to become more consistent. This will come as great news for those that are already in our very tight schedule hoping for a shot at a tarpon..

If you are looking for a tarpon fishing charter here in the next week feel free to give us a call. We don’t have a lot of availability but we may know someone who does..
