Stephanie’s First tarpon. Here in Key West we are into the tarpon pretty well in March.

March 3rd 2016 – Flat calm and nearly perfect tarpon fishing conditions are the case today through Sunday the 6th.

Here at Dream Catcher Charters we are expecting our anglers to have shots at tarpon daily through the period at least and probably into next week as the winds come up. Don’t fret about the winds if you are wanting to fish for tarpon. The forecast has the winds at about 15-20  for the week but we are not going to take a beating. The places where we fish for tarpon are located in some wind breaks and not rough.

This week the fishing has been great with today as the highlight so far. All of our boats today experienced a great bite on the tarpon line up with many of our anglers catching and releasing their first tarpon ever. A welcome surprise to many of them as we were not sure from last weeks tarpon fishing report if the bite would stay consistent.

So, barring any cold fronts I think the tarpon fishing will stay strong and the Key West tarpon fishing game is On!.
