August 19th 2017 – Normally hot and still conditions are prevailing over the Key West area making deep sea fishing lots of fun and easy to catch some really nice fish.

Reports across the board have heard that the Mahi-Mahi dolphin bite has been very good for late August. Our deep sea fishing charters aboard the Too Intense have shown our clients some great catches to fill the freezer with some nice filets. The bite is decent with pockets of fish in the different depths. You definitely have to look for them but when they show there are some nice gaffers and good schoolies well within legal size to entertain our people with and put in the box.

This time of the year our 36ft Yellowfin “Too Intense” is a very popular way for folks to go deep sea fishing with us here at Dream Catcher Charters. With a  40mph cruise speed we are able to get out to the fish in no time offering our anglers the most time fishing on a 4 or 6 hour day. For some added comfort and a way to beat the heat our deep sea sport fishing fleet is the way to go for full day and 6 hour trips.

We are coming into September and this time of the year things start to slow here in Key West for business but not for fishing. This is my favorite time of the year to fish. Last minute bookings are a decent way to check the weather before you go. So far this year we have been blessed with a slow tropical season and no Hurricane drills just yet.
