Tarpon Fishing Report March 21
The Ides of March are prevailing today once again. Winds from the East at around 20 – 25 MPH. PERFECT conditions for tarpon fishing here in Key West Harbor.
Live baiting is doing well with Capt Rich here at Dream Catcher Charters running our Action Craft 2310 Coastal Bay with a bathroom, powered by a Mercury Verado 300, boating 3 out of 5 fish hooked on a 4 hour trip on our top rod for yesterday. Great fun for an angler looking to whip up on some tarpon. Shown here we have Captain Colin Barr on board our Yellowfin 24 bay boat powered by Mercury 300 Verado out of Dream Catcher Charters fishing with his anglers on Monday for a nice 45 lb fish that really put up a heck of an arial show. Nice fish, nice clean release.
The tarpon seem to be anxious as the new moon approaches tomorrow. The bite is not waining in the least. Fish are poring in from both the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico with ample shots for every one who wants to fish for them on Live bait or dead bait chumming. There will be a big flow in the tides for the next few days encouraging a great bite.
Our schedule here at Dream Catchers is pretty tight right now with a few openings – BUT – we have friends in the business that have called us with their schedules to help us out with over flow. We can get you set up with them and they will get you out on the waters here in Key West in search for the Tarpon. DONT DELAY.. Call TODAY.. to set up your date with us or one of our colleagues.
4 hour trips for 2 persons with a REAL tarpon fishing guide costs $425.00…. Add another person for just $50.00.
Be careful of guides that don’t have a full schedule or discounting their trips this time of the year. Chances are, they are not worth fishing with.
