Sport Fishing Boats “Sporties” “Battle Wagons”

A traditional way to get to the blue waters. These boats range in size from 38 – 50 ft here in Key West and offer many different amenities. These boats are operated by a captain and a mate as a team. Fighting chairs for anglers to sit in while reeling in a fish are typical. The captain works on an upper deck called a “fly bridge” spotting birds and fish to target while the mate rigs the baits and coaches anglers how to reel and catch the fish. All of the sport fishing boats we recommend have enclosed bathrooms. Some of the larger more pricey boats have air conditioning, kitchens and a place to relax while fishing.

Sport fishing boats pricing ranges

• 1000 – 1400 for 4 hours
• 1400 – 1800 for 6 hours
• 1600 -2100 for 8 hours

Prices are definitely affected by Amenities like air conditioning, boat condition, Interior amenities, speed (less travel time to the fishing) and size (bigger boats ride better).

Center Console Boats

Fast and versatile with less amenities and about the same price. Center console boats range in size from 26 – 40 ft. these boats can cruise at speeds up to 40 mph. Although some can carry up to 6 passenger they are far less roomy than their sport fishing counter parts and we recommend capping the number of persons to 4 for comfort and fishing – ability. Some have bathrooms and none of them have air conditioning, most do not have a place to sit and fight a fish, most use stand up tackle. If you are limited in your mobility at all, we do not reccomend this type of boat.

Center Console Pricing Ranges

• 1100 for 4 hours
• 1500 for 6 hours
• 1800 for 8 hours

Prices of the center console boats are mostly reflecting size and performance.
