Race week is this week coming up here in Key West. Here at Dream Catcher Charters we are still in full swing with an AMAZING weather stretch and kick ass fishing here in Key West. We have our fishing charters booked and ready to roll. with some room in our schedule to get more folks out there.

Flats And Backcountry Fishing

Over the weekend we got into some stellar backcountry fishing using artificials for large Key West speckled trout up to 24 inches. Thats a beast for Key West. More than that though we have had an EPIC permit fishery this week. On one after noon we had shots at over 50 tailing fish on fly during the “perfect tide”. Flats calm conditions coupled with some very spooky fish made it tough. We did get an eat though and it was a great time.

Over the weekend there were some reports of a good yellowtail bite along with some decent sized muttons landed close to Key West. Further out past the reef there has been a bite of Blackfin Tunas and some sailfish.. Generally I hear about some wahoo on the full moon but not this past cycle.. So.. look for the next full moon to get your Wa Hoo on! I promise it will be a BLAST.
