April 6th 2018 – Its game time. We have waited all this time with spurts of tarpon here and there to finally get to our 2018 tarpon season. This week the fish have filled in quite nicely and they are chewing off the rails of our boats. Using live baits, artificial and fly our Key West tarpon fishing charters have been turning the folks who go fishing with us on to some nice catches, near misses and fun times on the water fishing with the captains here at Dream Catcher Charters.

April is considered to be a part of our incredible Key West tarpon fishing here but still not the migration. The tarpon we are fishing for right now are Gulf fish and can be a little fatter. Look for the Key West tarpon fishing migration to start about the first week in May where we will see major pushes of hundreds of tarpon down the Atlantic facing beaches. A great time for fly fishing and light tackle anglers to get their tarpon fix and make a great day of it.
