Tarpon Fishing Report

Tarpon looms

Tarpon Is Tired After Fight

Fishing has been decent.

We have been in full swing with tarpon season coming on very strong with many fish around on the edges of the channels and flats also in the deeper waters of the harbor.

Here at Dream Catchers we use live bait to fish for tarpon and the fishing in the last few days has been 75% of 100. With an average of 1 fish boated per trip the bite is doing well.

Full Moon is behind us now and the winds have come up. For the next few days we are expecting very good tides with a little more mellow water movement making the fish wander around more in search of food. As we get away from the full moon the morning bite should pick back up a bit as the fish wont be feeding so much at night.

Winds are up this week and will be through tuesday of next week April 25th. This should not hurt the fishing as the winds are out of the South South east and we fish on the lee sides of the islands.

Dream Catcher Charters

Fish these past few days for us have been ranging in the 45 – 75 lb category. Great fun on light tackle spin fishing.

We currently have some availability open but not allot.. Call Island Gen and see what she can do for you to get you out there with one of our fishing guides.
