December 26th 2016 – Well I hope everyone had a GREAT Christmas this year. I know I did. We had a wonderful time with family and friends last night and got some goodies that Santa thought we were worthy for. I think the word of the year is Thank God For Amazon!.. No traffic, no parking, no crowds and PRIME. Ok Ok. this is about fishing. Like my last fishing report the weather did exactly what I said it would. Warm and windy. Christmas day was blustery and we did not fish due to it was Christmas Day and my guys deserved a break. Back at it today and its – well Windy blowing a solid 15 mph. The fishing forecast for the rest of New years week is easy. Winds are coming down Tuesday night. and staying low till Friday Morning where the next cold front is scheduled to blow through. Friday looks to be a bit of a windy day with lower air temps. I would probably avoid offshore trips that day if I had a choice.

For Offshore – Deep Sea fishing and Reef fishing Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are your dates this week coming up. We have some availability for this week for private and split / shared fishing charters.

Inshore fishing is a great way to go for the whole week. We have some limited availability for additional anglers to get out with us on our Key West backcountry fishing charters but we know other Florida Keys fishing guides that still have some room in their schedule.

Flats fishing here in Key West this week looks pretty good. The lull in the winds will provide some great shots at permit in the shallows and even some tailing fish. Check out my Key West flats fishing charters to see more.

Grouper Season Atlantic Closes On January 1

Get your reef fishing in before then and get a grouper for the dinner table. The grouper bite has been really good.
