March 15th 2015 – If you are looking for a fun time catching snappers, grouper and mackerel this might be your week in March to do it. Although we have had an amazing tarpon fishing bite in the backcountry the reef fishing bite has been very good and with the winds laying down the weather this week will certainly make it possible for even the most seas sick-iest person to enjoy some lip ripping. Yellowtail snappers up to 4 lbs are being reported and the mutton snapper bite has been very good as well.

Although grouper are closed in the waters of the Atlantic and the Gulf they are still lots of fun to catch and release. Many of our anglers mix it up on our bay boat trips to go after tarpon in the morning then venture out to the reefs for  some table fare. its an easy fun filled day of two very diverse forms of fishing.
