Sailfish Just Off The Reef!

Sailfish Key West deep sea fishing for Sailfish
Black Fin Tuna

Capt. Brice Barr of the Key West deep sea charter boat “Double Down” has his anglers in the blackfin tunas.

January 16th 2017– Yep you read it right. We have a really good sailfish bite going on right now here in Key West. Our deep sea fishing fleet is having a great time with “the way its supposed to be” trolling for sailfish, tuna, wahoo and dolphin. The sailfish are stealing the show.

Key West deep sea fishing is well known for its sail fishing. Capt. Brice Barr of the Double Down just this morning has his crew out exercising this fact. When I sat down to write this report He sent me these images of what was happening right now to convince me that the sailfish bite is solid and the black fin tunas are crushing it..

What else is there? Well, I will tell you that with this forecasted South Easterly wind and the warmer temps before the next cold front on Monday my bet is that the dolphin (mahi mahi) will show up. January dolphin fishing can produce some pretty large fish. Mix that with a chance of blackfin tuna and a wahoo and you have a stellar day of deep sea fishing here this week in Key West.
