Tarpon Fishing Report May 26

Key West tarpon fishing report for the end of May and first week of June.

tarpon jumping in the air Key West tarpon fishing is ON! Come see what all the fuss is about.

May 26th 2020 – Our tarpon fishing report finds us with an itchy finger on the trigger ready for visitors to be able to easily come to Key west and fish with us for tarpon for the tail end (best end in my opinion) of our tarpon migration season. The weather is epic right now and outside a few occasional rain showers the computer models are not showing anything for the next few weeks.

Tarpon Fishing Report

I was just on the water a little while ago flats fishing with an angler that wanted to catch a bonefish on my flats fishing skiff. We had a great time poling the flats in the hunt for the grey ghost but kept getting interrupted by tarpon coming down the edges of the flats. I dont care how focused an angler gets on bonefish, when they see a tarpon along the edges all bets are off.

The tarpon are here in full this week and I expect the tarpon fishing to be strong all the way through the month of June as it is every year. We have been seeing tarpon in all our usual places and they are being very responsive as well eating artificial, live bait and fly.
