The heat index is pushing North of 100 degrees daily here in Key West. With little to no wind to speak of oily conditions prevail and the coolers filled with waters are getting empty as anglers enjoy the great Key West fishing in all the arenas.

On the reef fishing the mangrove snappers are spawning. The yellowtail snappers are everywhere and really nice sized with fish we have been catching up around the 4 and 5lb range and easy. There are times where the current is lacking but the bite still stays strong for us with artificial lures. There are some nice sized mutton snappers being caught on the reef and in the shallows but the heat is keeping most of them deep. Grouper season is still open in the South Atlantic and we are having no issues catching them. Some nice size red grouper and a mix of blacks are being caught daily. You really don’t have to run far for a good reef trip. BUT if you want to, our West trip is a great way to go home with a nice box of fish..

Reef fishing charters with us start at 450.00 for 2 persons on a bay boat or 750.00 on our 36ft center console Yellowfin with triple engines for the half day. Our full day West trip on the 36 is 1400.00.

Deep sea fishing is SMOKING hot today.. Capt. John has already hit pay dirt this morning with his anglers on board our 36 ft Yellowfin “Too Intense”  with a STUD wahoo.. Yesterday not so good, the day before was epic.. SO> thats up and down. Some nice gaffer dolphin are being found in the 800ft range with the mix of wahoo and some nice tuna. The occasional white and blue marlin being caught in the last few days. Every trip we are landing some nice sized dolphin and having a great day on the water. The occasional days we are struggling to find legal sized fish but those days are fortunately few and far between. As I stated before the conditions are slick and hot.

Our Key West deep sea fishing charters can be done on two different kind of boats. Our 36 ft center console is fast, versatile and super effective being able to get out to and fish the deeper waters longer and then come back into the reef for a mixed box. For the same money the comforts of the Sport fishing boats is the way to go with a mate, salon with air conditioning and a traditional style of fishing. Rates start at 750.00..
