Tarpon Fishing Report June 5

Tarpon fishing report for June Key West

Tarpon, jaw tarpon on the jaw.

June 5th 2019 – The weather has finally turned summer here in Key West with temps in the 90s and water temps coming up to a balmy high 80s in most places. A weather pater for June that I would call “normal”. This years tarpon fishing season has finally followed suit.

Large tarpon like these are a large possibility in June here fishing in Key West with our crew at Dream Catcher Charters

We are starting to see more and more tarpon coming into Key West that we have in the weeks past. June is setting up to be a great month for tarpon. The last few days our captains here at Dream Catcher Charters are getting ample shots at tarpon in the shallows and in the channels using artificial baits and fly. The live baits are still very good too but why not try artificial if they will eat them. The weather looks to be holding up through the weekend fairly dry with light winds from the South. Next week holds a little more moisture in the air but these conditions are prime for tarpon season.

As we slide into Summer here the crowds are starting to diminish here in Key West fishing out on the water. besides the heat of the day things are getting more enjoyable out there with fewer people fishing leaving more territory for us to hunt tarpon.

Here at Dream Catcher Charters we still have some availability to get folks out for a god trip tarpon fishing in the next few weeks during the hottest time of the season. If we cannot help you with the dates you have requested, we may know of someone who can..
